When to upgrade

If you have a phone and contract with us

If you have a phone and a contract you can upgrade from 90 days before your contract ends if you're up to date with your bill. You can find your contract end date by logging on to My Account.

If your contract reaches its end date and you haven't been in touch with us, then we'll just keep your service going until you decide what you want to do.

If it’s time to upgrade but you’re happy with your phone, you don’t have to get a different one.

It’s always worth checking our upgrade deals just in case, as we give the best price first time to all our upgrading customers (that means there's no need to haggle).

If you’re sure you don’t want a new phone, you could change to a 12-month or 30 day SIM Only plan instead. This just means you get minutes, texts and data but you keep your old phone. Or you could keep your phone and increase or decrease your allowance.

If you have a 12 month SIM Only contract with us

If you’re on a 12 month SIM Only plan, you can upgrade to a phone contract after a minimum of three months as long as you’ve paid all your bills on time. You can switch to a 30 day SIM Only plan or renew on any 12 month SIM Only plan from 90 days before the end of your contract.

If you’re on a 30 day SIM Only plan, you can renew on any 30 day contract or switch to a 12 month SIM Only contract at any time. You can also upgrade to a phone contract after a minimum of three months as long as you’ve paid all your bills on time.
