Bring your number with you when you move to Talkmobile

Enter your details

Switching to Talkmobile is easy. Just select below whether you want to bring your current number or you’d rather keep the new one assigned by Talkmobile.

All you need to keep your current number is:

  • The temporary Talkmobile mobile number you received when you bought your new contract. Pop your new Talkmobile Sim into your phone and call *#100#. The number will appear on the screen.
  • The PAC (port authorisation code) from your old provider. Text ‘PAC’ to 65075 using your old SIM.
  • The number you want to keep.

We’ll send a security code to your temporary Talkmobile number for you to enter on the next page.

If you want to cancel your current contract with your other provider but keep the number we’ve given you, here’s what you need:

  • The new Talkmobile mobile number you received when you bought your new contract. Pop your new Talkmobile Sim into your phone and call *#100#. The number will appear on the screen.
  • The STAC (Switching Termination Activation Code) from your old provider. Text ‘STAC’ to 75075 using your previous SIM card. It’s valid for 30 days.
  • Your current mobile number, which you no longer want. This cannot be retrieved once a STAC is activated, so please be sure you don’t want to keep it.

We’ll send a security code to your new Talkmobile number for you to enter on the next page.

  • What date will my old number transfer over to Talkmobile?

    Your number will transfer over on the date you selected at checkout. If you didn't choose one then, you can still schedule it here. 

  • What time will my old number transfer over to Talkmobile?

    On the day, your number will transfer over between 1pm and midnight.

  • How long will I lose signal for?

    Keep both your old SIM and new Talkmobile SIM with you throughout the day. Once your old SIM stops working, insert your Talkmobile SIM into your phone.

  • Can I change my port in date?

    You can change the date when your number will transfer over up until two days beforehand. Please contact us via the orange chat button on the side of your screen.

  • How to get a PAC code to transfer my number to Talkmobile?

    You can find instructions and all the information you need to transfer your number here.

  • How do I select the right date for my number to transfer over?

    Make sure you allow enough time for your new Talkmobile SIM to arrive before the date you choose. You also need to make sure you are going to be in the UK when your number transfers over.

  • My texts still look like they are coming from my old number

    If you use an iPhone you will need to change the number that is stored for iMessage. You can do that easily by going to settings > phone > my number. Make sure the correct number is showing there. If you use an Android device go to Messages -> Advanced -> Phone Number, then update the phone number stored there.

  • I'm not receiving calls or SMS from some numbers.
